This map from the Melbourne and Metropolitan Tramways Board, Report and Statement of Accounts for the Year ended 30th June 1950, shows how extensive Melbourne's tram network was in the immediate post-war era.
By this stage, cable trams had been phased out and the MMTB also operated some bus routes.
