Jonathan Jones’s
untitled (muyan) is an installation of five light boxes that pulse with LED geometric designs. By bringing the particularities of both the site of NGV Australia and details of Barak’s life together, Jones explores notions of spiritual transition.
Jones’s work is positioned in the stairwell in the sight line facing Birrarung (Yarra River), which connects the NGV to Barak’s homeland of Coranderrk. You can watch a video of Jones talking about his were
