Koonenberry Mountain is south of Milparinka, Northern New South Wales.

On 11 February 1860 William Wright, the leader of the supply party described it as a striking feature. He wrote that it was“a very remarkable range, called Koorningbirri by the blacks, Wannaminta Range by Mr Wills, and I understand Mount Jamieson by Mr Haverfield”.
