Duroadoo or Torowotto swamp was a welcome source of water for the Burke and Wills’ supply party.
The supply party was travelling at the driest time of the year. They could not advance towards Coopers Creek because they could not find any new sources of water for the camels, horses and men.
This sketch was drawn by either Ludwig Becker or Herman Beckler the expedition's doctor.
