Ash Wednesday 30 - Call for Stories

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Ash Wednesday Bushfires, the Victorian Government has created these web pages to collect stories of recovery, healing and hope in the years after the fires.

We are inviting people to share their stories as a tribute to those who have experienced a natural disaster and as an inspiration to all Victorians.

Over the next twelve months a collection of selected stories and short films will be published on these website pages

What we would like to receive:

Stories about recovery, healing and hope that relate to the following three areas:

- Individuals and Families

- Communities and Organisations

- The Landscape

How we would like to receive it:

- Written contributions up to 1000 words

- Poetry

- Recorded audio contributions up to 10 minutes

How to contribute:

We encourage all those affected by Ash Wednesday to share their stories of recovery, healing and hope.
