About the organisation
The Medical History Museum at the University of Melbourne is part of the Johnstone-Need Medical History Unit, and is administered by the Centre for the Study of Health and Society. Established by Professor Kenneth Russell in 1967 with a grant from the Wellcome Institute, the Medical History Museum is the oldest and finest collection associated with a medical school in Australia.
